Using Google Maps and Geocoder from google, attempt to identify addresses of friends on facebook, and locate them on the map.

Shows different colors of flags depending on the number of friends at each location.

It is not the first product to locate friends from facebook on Google Maps, two other products were already on Freatured Products of facebook. This one is able to locate more friends than the previous two by improving the number of failed queries to Geocoder by both better analyzing the addresses and advanced cashing of requests. It also repeats the failed queries with certain possibility of success.

It only stores a simple statistics on total number of friends and the successfully located to improve the quality of the product. It does not store any other information of the users. The friend list is directly passes to the client, without being materialized in any persistent form.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 27 — The Intel Corporation, the chip maker, introduced yesterday what it described as its most important product since the arrival of the Pentium processor 13 years ago.

The Core 2 Duo, Intel says, can deliver as much as 40 percent better performance while using as much as 40 percent less power and giving off less heat.

For computer makers, the arrival of the chip comes as Microsoft has revealed that Vista, the next major release of Windows, will probably not arrive before the end of 2006, missing the holiday shopping season.
